Vegan Taco Meat

Last night was taco night because we had avocados that were ready to go, and we'd just found the all-natural taco shells we bought at an import store (called Charlie USA*).

Doesn't look vegan, does it? Totally is! (The "cheese" is shredded mozzarella-style Cheezly we brought back from London. It's not available in the US, but you lucky bums have Daiya, so you can't complain too much!)

To make your own outrageously delicious vegan taco meat, rehydrate 1 cup of Bob's Red Mill T.V.P according to the instructions on the package. Fry it up with some olive oil and about 2 tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning. And you're done.

Bon appetit!

*That's nothing. You should see the very popular brand of toothpaste here called Darlie. I'm much more okay with "Charlie," though I don't think the responsible parties are trying to be offensive with either one.
