Good for Blood

It's not just a Chinese-medicine-thing that hibiscus flowers will lower your blood pressure (and cure a bunch of other ailments). Western doctors know it, too (see the Medical Studies section on the flower's Wikipedia page). And cinnamon is good for all kinds of problems from nausea and diarrhea to bad memory and tobacco cravings.

So what you've got here is some kind of Super Drink! Keep a stash of dried flowers and tree bark handy, and you've got a cheap, tasty, healthy drink just like that. Wham-o.

Hibiscus Tea for One

3 dried hibiscus flowers
2-inch cinnamon stick
boiling water

Put 'em all together and stir. Steep for about 5 minutes (or until cool enough to drink). Remove flowers and cinnamon if desired.
