Stephanie Pearl-McPhee is right on when she says, "If you can afford to knit... you can afford to donate."
I've watched the numbers go up like crazy on the Tricoteuses Sans Frontières/Knitters Without Borders page, and I wanted to be a part of it. I've been craving a Knit Picks order for days and days, but I knew that if I could spend part of my monthly allowance on yarn, I could give some of it away, too. I decided to give the same amount I spent at Knit Picks to Doctors Without Borders.
Now I have some fabulous sock yarn on its way to my mailbox, DWB has a few extra bucks to work with, and I'm a member of one fabulous group of knitters.
